- Development of a customer value-oriented categorization and an incentive-based, strategy-compliant condition system.
- Creation of a simulation tool for fine-tuning the system and support during implementation, including information material and training for the sales force.
Project result
- Improved price enforcement: The new system enabled more effective enforcement of condition adjustments and reduced discount demands.
- Optimized cooperation: Conditional elements that reward cooperative behaviour strengthened cooperation with customers in areas such as innovation and logistics.
- Systematic customer conditions: Customer conditions were adjusted according to customer value and new customers were correctly classified.
- Successful changeover: In the first year, over 95% of major customers were converted to the new system, which supported sales staff by simplifying price negotiations.
